A social intrigue party game developed and published in 2018 by InnerSloth, in which players are randomly divided into Crewmates and Impostors. The Crewmates must attempt to complete all required tasks and/or expose the Impostors, while the secret Impostors must murder or frame the Crewmates or sabotage the Crewmates' efforts.
Although released in 2018 as a relatively little-known game, it had a sudden boom in popularity in September 2020, with regular concurrent numbers of well over 250,000, reaching widespread memetic fame. The game would later spawn a wide variety of post-ironic memes a year later, usually revolving around a parody of Stonetoss comics, a photoshopped image of Jerma985, anything that looks like the in-game characters and/or having the name sounded like "Among Us/Amogus" or "Sus", or simply using the in-game character itself as a "punchline".
