The "Wonderful Shrine Maiden of Paradise" and main character of the Touhou series.
An easygoing but dutiful miko and good friend to fellow protagonist Kirisame Marisa; her cool, detached facade belies a sympathetic personality which often wins her the friendship of her former enemies, such as Remilia Scarlet. Reimu takes care of the rundown Hakurei Shrine, which lay near Gensokyo's border with the outside world and acts as its main portal, and fights using her gohei, ofuda, and her family heirloom, yin yang orbs.
Famous for her laid-back disposition and exposed armpits, as well as the first subject (together with Marisa) of a notorious 2channel meme - "Yukkuri shiteitte ne!!!".
Her hair color is usually brown or black of nearly every length and her eye colors varies between red, black, or brown. Her signature accessories are her frilled red hair bow, her frilled hair tubes on her sidelocks, and her yellow ascot. Her outfit is a sleeveless red shirt (that is sometimes depicted as a crop top or otherwise baring midriff) with a frilled collar, detached white sleeves with a ribbon trim, a matching frilled red skirt, white socks, and either brown loafers or black mary janes.
