Mizuno Takahiro once aspired to become a knight and loves the sport of jousting. A severe injury forced him to drop out and instead become a simple begleiter, an assistant, to the jousting program at Winford Academy. His skill with horses and experience with jousting makes him pursued, but he declines to become anyone's begleiter. Unfortunately, his childhood friend Kisaki Mio is dragged into the annual jousting competition through odd circumstances. As she's never even ridden a horse in her life, Takahiro quickly decides to help her.
